Description

Will (waṣiyya), in Arabic. For a Sicilian named ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar al-Ṣiqillī/al-Siqillī al-Anṣārī. Lines 6–15 consist of his profession of faith in the tenets of Islam. The same ʿUthmān b. ʿUmar al-Ṣiqillī appears in T-S AS 177.607. See also T-S Ar.39.401 (PGPID 20927), a similar document with similar formulae. Both of these wills are torn before they get to the substance. ASE
