Description

Two fragments of an alms distribution list in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (1100–38). Many entries are crossed out. Most people are receiving items of clothing. One of the recipients is intriguingly named "the wife of Iblīs" (אמראה אבליס). Other names include the wife/family of Hoshaʿna; Abū l-Khayr al-[...]bī, Ibn Ḥubaysh, the younger son of the Jerusalemite cantor (al-ḥazzān al-muqaddasī), the woman from Malīj staying in "dār al-ḥabs(?)," Umm Subayʿ, Ibrāhīm al-Maghribī, Tawfīq, the orphan of Ibn Qaṭāʾif, Umm al-Ṣibyān, the son of the sister of al-Bashkār(?), the wife of [...] al-Baṣrī.
