Description
Legal document, in Arabic script, late. The document was folded and then cut in a hexagonal shape. The content of the document isn't immediately clear but it seems like the listed people and groups have donated some amount of money in a particular yet. The document is divided into three columns, the first column indicates sums of money, the second bears names of individuals and groups preceding with a word which could be ماهبة, but it requires examination. The last column mentions the year, which is 1238 in all columns. The word ماهبة also appears on the heading. Verso also contains a few names with the sum of calculations towards the end. The name of Moses "سيدنا موسى عليه السلام" also appears a couple of times. The document could be a draft as years stop being written after a point on recto and there is an absence of a signature or seal which is a typical feature of Ottoman-era documents. Merits further examination.
