Description

Legal document in Arabic script. The last four lines are preserved as well as the witness statements. Needs examination. Dated: 22 Rabīʿ I 548 AH = 17 June 1153 CE. This is an iqrār made by Avraham ben Yiju in June 1153 (after his return to Egypt) regarding his prior manumission of a slave during his brother Mevasser’s visit to him in Aden ~1151/52. Later reused for a complicated set of notes by Avraham Ibn Yiju (see separate record).
