Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Mentioning Abū l-Ḥasan Aʿraj (the lame) and ʿAllān the son of the sister of ʿA[rūs]. This is probably the India trader ʿAllān b. Ḥassūn; the reconstruction of ʿArūs in the lacuna is relatively certain because ʿAllān is among the very few people whose chief identifier is the name of his maternal uncle. On one of the pages of the bifolio there is Hebrew piyyuṭ in which every line follows the structure מה . . . ולא . . .
