Description

Legal document in Judaeo-Arabic (missing its upper part). Dating: late 11th century or early 12th century. In which Abū l-Khayr Mubārak b. David and Sitt al-Bayt release each other from all claims. This is contingent on Abū l-Khayr giving a certain woman minimum of 1/2 dirham on a weekly basis, it seems depending on how much money he has made that week. Furthermore, if she dies and he is in the same country, he is to make the arrangement for her coffin bearers and burial. Signed by Avraham b. Shemaʿya he-Ḥaver, Efrayim b. Sason, and Shemarya [...].
