Description

Either or a petition or a letter of gratitude for the caliph's favorable response to a prior petition. In Arabic script. The ends of approximately 11 lines are preserved (it is not clear how much text, if any, is missing from the right sides of the lines). Opens with prayers for eternal kingship. "Then I received the letter from his companion, and in it there were the copies of the decree that was written for him (=me)... concerning the deposit... and that it was with ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b.
