Description

Letter of appeal for charity. Mainly in Judaeo-Arabic, with good handwriting but rudimentary spellings. The sender asks for half a dirham to buy food. He has walked from Sūq Wardān only with great difficulty and in a state of fear from 'the gentiles' (l. 9). Otherwise mostly formulaic. (Information in part from CUDL)
