Description

Legal document dealing with inheritance issues (a gift followed by a release). The parties are Eliyya b. Shelaḥya and Abū l-Surūr Peraḥya b. Shelomo ha-Levi. Dated: 1435 Seleucid = 1123/24 CE. In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe ha-Levi. (Information in part from CUDL.) These are the same two parties as in ENA 2712.10 + T-S NS 320.111 (PGPID 11444) and T-S NS 320.54 (PGPID 8673). See also JRL SERIES AF 23 (PGPID 38250), concerning the death of Eliyya b. Shelaḥya.
