Description

Legal record. In Judaeo-Arabic. Munajjā has received from Hiba al-Zaki 108 qinṭārs of "red glass" (zujāj aḥmar) and 105 qinṭārs of "local glass" (zujāj baladī). There is a partnership (sharika) in these for a period of one year. The capital invested by Munajjā is 189 dinars (the "nine" is probably repeated accidentally -- it says "one hundred and nine and nine and eighty") and by Hiba is only 6 dinars. Dated "middle of Ḥeshvan '29," which might enable the date to be pinpointed if the parties are identified. On verso there are Greek/Coptic numerals.
