Description

Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Elegant hand. Dating: likely 13th–15th century based on handwriting and linguistic features. Refers to a household of women who are "naked and are without a man to enter. . . their hunger is greater than their satiety. . . ." It seems the addressee is urged to come help. The sender also inquires about whether the addressee's cousin (ibn ʿamma) will come. The sender asks that someone send for his children 100 or 50 dirhams.
