Recto

1. In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate. Prayers of God and peace be upon our lord Muḥammad, his prophet, and upon his family.

2. The witnesses whose names appear at the end of this document have testified together that they know Tāqī b. ... [                          in his person],

3. his name and his genealogy. They testify that he is one of the Khaybarīs who possess noble pacts determining that our lord, God’s prophet, prayers of God and peace be upon him and his family,

4. contracted with them to forgive their payment of the capitation tax and confirmed their exemption. The witnesses of this document testified that the one herein named came forward and that his ancestors are well-known to be (among) the aforementioned Khaybarīs,

5. known as such. This is known to be their situation in a well-attested and soundly understood manner, and they hereby testify and make known its well-established nature. There is no doubt about it, 

6. and no suspicion about it. He has requested of those of whom he requested this for an authentication of their testimony and that by means of this (something appears to be missing here), and they authenticated it for him herein on their behalf, both he who wrote (the document) and he about whom it was written for his statement and his testimony.

7. This was in the middle decade of the month of Rabīʿ I of the year four hundred eighty-three.

3. about everything in this court record (maḥḍar) and wrote with his own hand on the same date.

3. and he wrote in it and explained and wrote on the same date.
