Description / Bio

Nubian enslaved woman mentioned in a bill of sale in which she was sold by Hiba/Netanʾel to the buyer Moshe ha-Talmid. Unnamed Enslaved Person 9 is possibly identical to Abnūsa, who was sold by Hiba/Netanʾel b. Yosef to Moshe b. Ṭahor on 31 October 1230 CE. This association is based on the possibility that the geniza fragments in question are draft documents for the same transaction.
