Nashū

Enslaved woman who is mentioned in the deathbed will of the widow of Abū ʿAlī Yefet Ibn al-Ṣabbāgh. The dying woman manumitted Nashū and in another related legal document from two days before the widow's death, Nashū is indeed listed as a "freedwoman" (Nashū al-maʿtūqa). In the latter document, Nashū is set to receive part of the dying woman's estate and arrangements are made for her marriage at a later date.
