Jinān

Description / Bio

Enslaved woman who was sold in 1142 CE by Netanʾel b. Yiṣḥaq to the buyer Mufaḍḍal b. Abū Saʿd b. Ṣibyān. Jinān had a two-year-old daughter, Wafāʾ, from whom she was separated as a result of this transaction.
