الوصف

Legal document, in Arabic script. Describing a property, probably put up as collateral or for lease. Beautifully written. Among other landmarks, mentions the mosque of Mālik b. Sharāḥīl in Kawlān (مسجد مالك بن شراحيل). [Khan, ALAD: "a document recording the granting of a loan ʿāriyya of property, in which the offeree of the loan acknowledges and accepts the terms of the document, 'aqarra bi-dhalika kullihi wa-qabila minhu'."] Needs further examination. Reused on recto for a piyyut in Hebrew. FGP Joins Suggestions yields dozens of fragments that resemble verso and that have Arabic script on the other side.
