Title page of the ‘Egyptian scroll’ (Megillat Miṣrayim), a historical poem composed by Shemuel ha-Shelishi b. Hoshaʿna in Egypt during the rule of the Fatimid caliph al-Ḥākim (996–1021 CE). The title is followed by a Judaeo-Arabic poem, rhyming in -nī, written in red ink and vocalised with Arabic vowel signs. In the right margin the first line of the poem is repeated in black ink.
