Recto: legal deed in which Sitt al-Thanāʾ bt. […] ha-Kohen 'Sixth in the Academy' gives a house in New Cairo to Ḥalfon b. Menashshe ha-Kohen (probably a Qaraite, for the qinyan term used is ביד ליד בא[מרי] סיני ובחוקות חורב as common among the Qaraites). Dated: first decade of Nisan 1433 Seleucid = March 1132 CE, under the authority of Maṣliaḥ Gaʾon. Signed by Eliyya b. ʿEli he-Ḥaver, Hillel b. Shabbat ha-Kohen, and Faḍāʾil b. Ḥalfon ha-Levi. Although from the 12th century (from the names of the signatories), this is apparently not the famous scribe Ḥalfon b. Menashshe ha-Levi, as he was not a Kohen. On verso there is a poem, possibly a dirge, with some corrections and deletions.
