Court register. Bodl. MS heb. f 56/46r: Deed of gift. Dated: First decade of Nisan 1493 Seleucid = March 1182 CE. Abū Manṣūr Elʿazar b. Elʿazar al-Dimashqī gives the female slave Rahj (possibly meaning "Arsenic") as well as clothing and household goods which he had inherited from his wife Fakhr bt. Abū l-Surūr Ibn al-Jashshāsh as a gift to their two daughters, Ḥasab and Khafāʾ. He also gifts the daughters various other items typically found in trousseaus. Signed by Shemuel [b. Saʿadya] ha-Levi and Elʿazar b. Mikhaʾel. (Information from Goitein's index card.)
