Recto: Circular letter in the name of Moshe Maimonides to the congregations in Egypt (ca. 1168–1204 CE). The recto preserves only an eloquent introduction. Verso gives the name of Moshe Maimonides and preserves the address to the notables of Damīra, Jujar, Sammanūd, Damsīs, and Sunbāṭ. Also on verso is a Judaeo-Arabic note at 180 degrees about the story of Jacob and Leah. (Information in part from Goitein's note card.)
