الوصف

Verso: Fragment of a petition in Arabic, Fatimid-era, possibly from a woman (l. 2: وسوالها), or this could just be referring to a preceding mamālīk/ʿabīd, hence the feminine pronoun. The petitioner has a grievance against a countryman (Rīfī), and the main issue seems to be related to a commission (l. 3: جُعل) that the petitioner does not desire the countryman to get a share of. Hence, the main request is to restrain his power (l.3: اقصار يد). ASE/MCD/YU.
