Apprenticeship agreement between David Dayyan (the instructor) and an apprentice whose name is badly damaged. Dated at the end of Adar 5582 AM which is 1822 CE. Location: Cairo. The apprenticeship is listed in line 2 as the "feather trade" (מלאכת הנוצה), then later in the document there is a clause specifying that this is a mercantile profession (במלאכה אצל הסוחרים). Meʾī Ben-Naʿīm signed as both witness/scribe and also signed on behalf of the "aforementioned father and son" (likely indicating the apprentice and his legal guardian). MCD.
