Document(s) in Ladino. The verso is probably the primary document; the accounts on recto may be related. Dated: Ḥeshvan 5422 AM (Oct.-Nov. 1661 CE). The main Ladino scribal hand on the verso is among the most cursive examples found to date in Cairo Geniza fragments. The secondary scribal hand on the verso is likely that of the person whom this document was issued to given that they signed in a mixture of Hebrew and Ladino "אני קונפראדו גירא(נ)שיה" ("I purchased guarantee"; alternatively this is the writer's name, or he is referring to himself as "Konfrado," i.e., brother). The list on the recto was recorded by at least three scribes, one of whom wrote in a Latin-script Romance language: possibly Italian, Castilian Spanish, or French. The name Yaʿaqov קונקוריץ appears in the left margin. Requires further examination. MCD/ASE
