الوصف

Letter in Hebrew. On parchment. Dating: probably 10th century. Written on the back of a scroll of Esther. Mann suggests that it was sent to Spain. It is a fundraising letter on behalf of the Yeshivot of Baghdad (בגדד). The money raised should be entrusted to Shaʾul b. Yosef of Qayrawān who will convey it to the treasurer Marwān b. Avraham ha-Maʿaravi who will convey it to the recipients in Baghdad.
