Bottom of a Muslim marriage contract. On parchment. Some of the surviving phrases refer to the bride's brother Yūsuf, as her representative, giving her in marriage to the groom: [...] al-madkhūr wa-huwa mustaḥiqq al-wilāya ʿalayhā. . . fa-zawwajahā akhūhā Yūsuf al-madhkūr min al-zawj al-madkhūr. . . Two witness clauses are preserved. The second is Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAbd al-Khāliq.
