الوصف

Petition or official report. Arabic script, wide line-spacing, chancery hand. The document is dated 502 H, which is extremely rare for petitions, and contains a raʾy clause at the end (wa-lahā thabat Allāh majdahā al-raʾy al-sāmī li-tamādī). The document is addressed toward the governor of a province, as mentioned in l.2 (ilā l-nāʾib ʿanhā fīhā), and it informs of sending something with the scribe/secretary of that province (ʿalā yad kātibihim). The request seems to be either the release of the assets or the issuance of an order for their release (istikhrāj). Lower left corner; the document was trimmed and reused for a Judaeo-Arabic letter (PGPID 30345).
