الوصف

Ketubba. Date: 1[.] Sivan 1420 Seleucid = 1109 CE. Groom: Ḥalfon b. Tamīm ha-Zaqen. Bride: Sitt al-B[ayt?], not her first marriage. Marriage payments: 5 + 15 dinars. The dowry is valued at 100 dinars. Witnesses include: Menashshe b. Yaʿaqov ha-Kohen (a prolific scribe of literary works, active ca. 1109–32), Yosef b. Saʿadya, Shemarya b. Aharon, Elʿazar b. Avraham ha-Levi, and ʿAmram b. Yaʾir(?) the judge. The validation is signed by: Avraham b. Shemaʿya he-Ḥaver, Yiṣḥaq b. Shemuel ha-Sefaradi. (Information in part from Ezra Chwat.)
