Legal document. In the hand of Hillel b. ʿEli or Ḥalfon b. Menashshe? Concerning Natan b. Mevorakh ha-Kohen who who bought dyed cloth from Abū l-Afrāḥ ʿArūs b. Yosef, a well known purveyor of purple from the end of the 11th century, and discovered while packing it that it was discolored or unevenly dyed. They fought over this and ultimately with the intervention of "the righteous elders" they apparently decided that ʿArūs would reimburse Natan 37 dinars. The text continues in the right margin and top margin, suggesting that this is a draft. Verso contains two names, Sitt al-Ahl bt. Mūsā and Hiba b. Faraḥ, also known as Ibn al-T[...], probably a sketch for another unrelated document. (Information in part from CUDL)
