الوصف

Letter in Hebrew, in a Byzantine hand, reporting on a highly secretive transaction involving gold dust. According to Avraham David, this is a 16th century letter possibly from Crete. However, there are many earlier Geniza letters (11th–13th century) with similar handwriting and formulae, and it's unclear if there's any evidence supporting a later dating.
