[…] Asad al-Zajjāj al-Isrāʾīlī ("the Jewish glassmaker") receives a loan of five dinars from [...] al-Shaṭranjī al-Isrāʾīlī ("the Jewish chess player"). The dīnārs are described as "red" (danānīr ḥamrāʾ). There are a few words on verso in Hebrew script that Khan describes as a pen trial.

Family letter, partly in Hebrew and partly in Judaeo-Arabic. The handwriting seems to be that of the judge Mevorakh b. Natan. Dated: End of Ṭevet 1492 Seleucid = January 1181 CE. There is a long passage (in rhymed Hebrew) about the addressee's mother ailing ever since he departed for Alexandria with the caravan. The scribe wrote the letter while very sick (marīḍ lāzim lā aʿaql ʿalā nafsī min al-ḥamāʾil(?)

Fragment of a communal letter in Judaeo-Arabic with wide line spacing. Discussing the qualifications of the son of Mevorakh as cantor and communal leader: ודלך כארג ען מא . . . […] חפטה אלחזנות וסיאסה אלגמאעה In the margin there is a commentary on the Shemaʿ and on verso there is a commentary on the Shemaʿ (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), with citations such as 1 Shemuʾel 7:3.

Moshe Tāhartī in Alexandria, reporting about merchandise sold in Fustat and requesting that more be bought in Alexandria. He also has some personal requests. […] It briefly touches on financial dealings, e.g., the writer has obtained nearly 4 dinars of the money owed to the addressee by Ibn Shuwayʿ. The writer twice sends regards to the Nagid Mevorakh, urging Avraham to tell him of Shelomo's "iftiqād" (preoccupation/solicitude, especially during illness) for him.

[…] The remainder is rather obscure and mentions the governor (wālī) of Fustat, who may have refused to talk to anybody until he had personally met with al-Sayfī.
