Served as Gaʾon approximately 1160–66 CE. The earliest document invoking his authority is T-S 18J1.26 (PGPID 3515) from 1160, and the latest is T-S NS 308.114 (PGPID 4247) from 1166. He was still alive in 1169 based on Bodl. MS heb. a 3/6.
