Description

A magical deed of divorce (geṭ), from ʿImrān b. Mordekhay of Muʿizziyya (= New Cairo?) to Ḥabība bt. [...] followed by a spell to open things (partly paralleled in T-S NS 233.26), apparently intended to enhance the document's efficacy. This is a draft or template since most of the locations are left generic (מדנת פלונית או בקרתא פלונית). (Information in part from CUDL and Goitein's index card.) There are numerous citations on FGP, and Bohak's identification on FGP suggests that he has found multiple hybrid amulet/geṭs like this one.
