Description

Left fragment: Letter from Shemaryahu b. Aharon ha-Kohen ha-Rav the descendant of Eliyyahu ha-Kohen to Abū Thābit Yakhin b. Nāshī (נשי/ناشي) ha-Kohen. Mainly in Judaeo-Arabic, with the introduction in Hebrew and the address on verso in Arabic script. The sender reports that he fulfilled the order of the recipient and spoke with the Nasi (נשיא) about a certain dispute involving a community and a cantor. Reused on verso for pen trials in Hebrew.
