Description / Bio

India trader. Contemporary with Maḍmūn b. Ḥasan and Abū Zikrī Kohen. Traveled at least as far as ʿAydhāb and the Yemen on more than one occasion, and dealt in lac and textiles. His father and his son were both named ʿAllān b. Nahrāy, and they seem to have resided in Alexandria.
